Air Ratio describes the amount of work an air operated pump is able to do. To figure the output PSI, simply multiply the first number of the ratio by the air pressure being fed into the pump. For example, a 3:1 ratio pump operated at a supply pressure of 100 PSI will produce 300 PSI of outlet pressure.
